Smarts of Northolt

We asked Smarts to quote on our move from Ruislip to Biggleswade. They arrived promptly as agreed and gave us great advice on packing while looking round to prepare the quote. It was nearly six months before the move eventually took place and Smarts were true to their word and confirmed the original price. We chose to have the full packing service (Best decision I’ve ever made). They arrived the day before on time and began packing all of our goods. They asked if they could load some of the furniture to help speed things up for the move day, which we agreed. They had all packing and all loading of the agreed furniture done by 4pm. The next day, move day they arrived on time and had everything loaded and ready to go by 11am. the move in and unpack went just as smoothly, the guys were brilliant and worked nonstop to not only move us in but un pack and rebuild our bed. I cannot recommend the guys from Smarts highly enough. If I ever move again I wouldn’t hesitate to use them, I probably wouldn’t even bother getting anyone else to quote. One word of warning though, make sure you have plenty of tea and biscuits.

This was a difficult move to Cornwall in January, not the warmest of months. (I've had to put Plymouth as this was the only nearest option on the drop down menu but this was a countryside move). The road to the new property was narrow and very very steep so discussing the options of moving the contents of a four bed house to another four bed house was important. There were a large number of steps upto the house to boot! Smart's representative was extremely accurate in everything he discussed and a large truck plus smaller truck for decanting was decided upon.  He even prevented a disaster (time wise) by commenting that our large desks in the study were most likely assembled in situ rather than ever coming through the door!  He was right.  Phew.  We took them apart well before moving day as a consequence. We got a couple of quotes and while not the cheapest, Smarts seemed to be the most accurate and fair. The move was smooth from start to finish over the three days. From having to dismantle the doors on our American Fridge freezer to get it out and then into the new house, to bringing an extremely heavy dining hutch up to the living area only to find it didn't fit and then taking it back to the garage without a word of complaint. The crew were polite and friendly and professional all wrapped into one.  I wouldn't hesitate to use Smarts again or to recommend them to friends and family. Excellent!
